Dr. Carol Chambers is a licensed clinical psychologist and medical evaluator in the state of California (PSY27159). She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from The Wright Institute, Berkeley, CA. Her dissertation research topic was onThe Effect of Brain Scan Images on Mock Jurors in Criminal Trials. She has received training through the American Academy of Forensic Psychology. She has presented at the conference of the American College of Forensic Psychology and the Sacramento Valley Psychological Association. She holds a BA in Philosophy from University College London, UK.
Dr. Carol Chambers is currently in private practice, specializing in forensic psychology throughout California. She performs OMHD (Offenders with Mental Health Disorders) evaluations for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), assessing violent offenders with mental health disorders. She serves on several court panels as a psychological expert. She has experience with conducting pre-employment screenings for correctional officers for the California Department of Corrections. She has performed over 3,000 psychological assessments, including personal injury evaluations, disability evaluations, assessment of competency to stand trial, mental state at time of offense, suitability for mental health court and drug court, PTSD assessments for veterans, vocational assessments and pre-employment screening for correctional officers. She has provided therapy and psychological assessment services for: Solano County Jail, Berkeley Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Clinic, California Department of Rehabilitation, Nevada County Behavioral Health, Social Security Administration, the Veteran’s Administration, Superior Court of California and California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Chambers has 15 years of training and experience in the fields of clinical psychology and psychological assessment. She is a member of Sacramento Valley Psychological Association Forensic Division. She is a member of the Association of Scientific Advancement in Psychological Injury and Law.
